Teaching at INTAF

WOW is teaching high schoolers HARD!!! I have taught young children and college-aged students, but technically this was my first invitation to teach high schoolers. Mr. Armitage asked me to do a few workshops for the Inland Northwest Theatre Arts Festival (their 25th annual -- a nice landmark to contribute to!), and I immediately thought of a movement workshop. But I forgot to prepare myself for those who are "just too cool" to let their guard down! I will know better next time and I'd like to think I am better prepared to handle those who won't be vulnerable of that age. It was a great experience, and the first workshop was so different from the next. I'm learning more about Michael Chekhov and incorporating his work into mine, so that was the heavy influence of the INTAF weekend!
